Welcome to the place for FTC news including information on the new platform.
We've created this blog to post information over the next 7 weeks leading up to the FTC World Championship. You're free to post your comments to let us know what you think.
Depending on how this works we may continue on with this blog as the conduit for FTC information.
We're excited about moving FTC forward, we hope you'll be too.

My team is highschool based. Funding is tight. We have been in the VEX competition for two years. I have many (hard fought for) dollars invested in VEX parts. I am sure that there are hundreds of others out there in the same predicament. If I go back to the administration and say "Can I have another $4,000 for robot parts...the ones you bought me last year are now obsolete" I'll get ushered to the door - emptyhanded.
The new technology looks like a good move.....but hundreds of teams like mine are going to require some real help from First if they want us to be able to make the transition. How about a VEX part buyback program?
I completely agree. We just purchased a new VEX set and now you just say "throw it away." If you want to set the program back several years, you're on the right path. Phasing out the old over several years would make more sense.
What kind of manual will it have? For rookie teams I don't think you can really beat Vex's Inventor's Guide. I didn't have much use for it since I already knew most of it but for someone who has never experienced robotics this manual is amazing and a great resource. Is the new FTC kit going to have a great manual with it?
