President's Circle Deadline is December 1, 2008
The President Circle Contest is a great way to show your creativity and get others interested in FIRST and robotics. This is something you can have some fun with too.
The submission deadline for the 2008/09 President's Circle is fast approaching. If your team would like to be considered, please submit your video ad to persuade other young people to start a FIRST team by Monday, December 1, 2008. FIRST Invitational Scrimmage
On Saturday November 1st we hosted the first ever FTC scrimmage held at FIRST headquarters. We invited five teams to participate in a casual competition that included a lot of hands on time with their robots and time on the playing field.
Thanks to everyone that helped at the event and to the teams that participated. The teams included:
Team 1902, Exploding Bacon from Orlando, FL (in photo)
Team 0839, Rosie's L'il Sis from Agawam, MA
Team 0285, The Elements from Belfast, ME
Team 0120, Angelbots from Sharon, MA
Based on the scrimmage we'll put together more comprehensive information on how to create basic programs and how software inspection will work. It was a lot of fun and we're getting a good idea about some of the more successful designs to compete in this year's game.
